Join the fun at the Kennedy Ranch, located outside Cascade, Idaho for the 32nd Annual Idaho Free Trappers Backwoods Rendezvous. Spectators are welcome Friday and Saturday from noon-5 p.m.
Event: PRE-1840′s ERA MOUNTAIN MAN RENDEZVOUS
When: June 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2014 (3rd weekend in June)
Where: Cascade, Idaho
Directions: From Idaho Highway 55, turn East onto Corral Creek Road. Between mile markers 109 & 110 at the Kennedy Ranch. Signs will be Posted on Hwy 55.
Description: 2014 will be the 32nd annual Idaho Free Trappers Backwoods Rendezvous.
This is an event that is scheduled to run 4 days, from Thursday thru Sunday. However, there will be members who will arrive at the Rendezvous Site the weekend prior, to begin setting up in advance of the actual event. There will be a clean-up the day after the conclusion of the Rendezvous and any help with the cleanup will be appreciated.
Council fire activities will be held Friday and Saturday evening of the Rendezvous, with a potluck on Saturday night. Competitor’s Prizing and the Raffle Drawing will be held on Sunday.

PLEASE NOTE THAT – NO DRINKING WATER OR FIREWOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE ! ! ! YOU MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN WATER AND FIREWOOD FOR THE DURATION OF YOUR STAY AT THE RENDEZVOUS.
Water is available in Cascade. Due to possible fire restrictions, also please bring an alternate cooking source (i.e. enclosed above-ground fire-pit / charcoal container, or gas cooking source).
Rendezvous Dog Soldiers wearing red armbands will be available on site to help you with any questions or problems you might have during the rendezvous. The Booshway will have final say on any disputes that may arise in the encampment.
There will be two separate campsites – modern and primitive – available for use. The modern campsites will be out of view of the main primitive encampment to help foster the recreation of the rendezvous.

Dogs are allowed on leashes, only, and must be under direct control of their owners at all times. Pet rules will be posted.
Smoothbores are welcome, but please, NO IN-LINED WEAPONS!
All visitors are “REQUIRED” to check in at the Registration Tent for additional Rendezvous information. “No Exceptions Please!!!” This is to enable the Idaho Free Trappers to explain to visitors the do’s and don’ts from a safety standpoint. The Idaho Free Trappers Backwoods Rendezvous is open to “All” visitors from 12pm to 5pm Friday and Saturday. Visitors are responsible for the behavior of their children.

Pre-1840 dress after Registration and through to the end of prizing is required or dress points will be deducted! This includes the entire Rendezvous site which is the second green gate coming into the site.
